Previously the climate was not conducive for tourism and investment but all that has changed. The most important thing is trust so the private sector is working to clear doubts. IBPC has helped us widen our business horizons through friendship. A network has been created locally which sees synergies between members. Occasionally we go abroad for international exposure. We learnt a lot about agriculture from our trip to Israel. Other business delegations have resulted in many important contacts and business leads.

I came back to Myanmar just 2 years ago and I joined IBPC in 2012 at the invitation of U Aik Htun who I’d known for 20 years. I am happy to be part of IBPC and to support its endeavors. Our company, Pinya Manufacturing recently signed a contract with soft drinks giant, Coca Cola. Deals with companies like that will bring new opportunities to the economy by breeding confidence in Myanmar. It’s like a stamp of approval. Our venture with Coca Cola will make it easier for foreign Investors to understand the company’s potential and that of the country.

Line of Business
IBPC is always a very important counterpart during our delegation trips of European companies to Myanmar as well as an important supplier of information and business ideas to our clients. Lots of our companies found potential business partners on matchmaking events with IBPC and exchanged their ideas in valued discussions.

On 7 June 2013 Macao ASEAN International Chamber of Commerce paid a visit to Myanmar for our annual business delegation trip to ASEAN countries. Great thanks to IBPC for arranging its members to receive our group of 65 delegates. From the meeting, we had a better understanding of the investment environment and business opportunities of Myanmar.

We would like to thank you for your help receiving the Taiwan Environmental Protection & Construction Mission on 21 June 2013. Through the business exchange during our meeting with the IBPC members, we had a fruitful result and all the delegates are very satisfied with your business arrangements. We do believe that our bilateral trade will be boosted rapidly in the near future.
Thank you for all your efforts as a bridge between business in Myanmar and Taiwan.
